We've posters, stickers and bookmarks galore, all featuring Kevin Waldron's eye-catching "Make Friends With Reading" artwork and printed on matt-effect paper to complement the retro feel of the design. The 2010 BookFest Recommended Reading Guide (edited by Juliette Saumande) is now also available for purchase. Featuring 64 pages of reviews for titles suitable for ages 0-teen, it really is the definitive guide to the very best in children's books published this year. Following in the footsteps of Alan Clark, Annie West, Mark Oliver and many others, this year Kevin Waldron took on the commission and has just submitted his final design (see picture right). Born in Dublin in 1979, Kevin has since lived in both London and now New York.
His first children's title, the self-authored Mr Peek at the Zoo (Templar, 2009) won the Opera Prima award at Bologne and has recently been followed by a fantastic new picture-book version of Edward Lear's classic poem The Owl and the Pussy-Cat (Simon and Schuster, 2010). |
