Digital Developments and the Possibilities they Offer.
Following the success of CBI’s informative and eye opening seminar on Ebooks and Digital Publishing last June, CBI is hosting a second seminar to further examine the future of publishing and the methods for success and adaptation in a digital age.

The seminar is open to all and will take place on Saturday 28th November, from 10am to 1pm (approximately) County Library, Library Square, Tallaght Dublin 24. Tallaght Library is easily accessible, just two minutes walk from the terminus of the Luas Red Line. Spaces are limited so places MUST be booked in advance by calling 018727475 or emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

PLEASE NOTE - Due to unforeseen circumstances, Vanessa Robertson of Fidra Books will not to able to attend the seminar. CBI regrets any inconvenience this may cause to attendees. We are delighted to welcome writer and blogger  David Maybury as a replacement panellist.

Digital Developments will focus on where digital changes have taken publishing so far and what further changes can be expected in the future. The seminar will also offer practical tools and strategies to authors, booksellers, and publishers alike, on how to take the next step into the world of digital and social media.

This half day seminar will take place at County Library, Tallaght. Just minutes from the Red Luas line, this award winning library, which recently reopened in 2008, has been the cultural center for Tallaght offering students and adults access to information and educational opportunities.

Eoin Purcell will deliver a  keynote about digital developments and this will be followed by a panel discussion with notable writers and publishers offering their key insight on the challenges they have faced and the ways in which they have adapted to the changes brought on by the digital age.
