And we're off!
The new school year is well underway, the leaves are turning all sorts of lovely colours and the smell of erupting volcanoes is in the air... must be Children's Book Festival time again!
This October we encourage you to grab your favourite book, pour yourself a
nice cold drink and join our very own book loving dino-mascot for a nice relaxing read!
If you're unsure of what title to chose, you'll discover loads of fantastic suggestions in the brand new 2009 Book Fest Recommended Reading Guide - available free of charge from bookshops and libraries during the festival (and now online too!).
There will also be a full programme of events and activities taking place
across the country, including 'meet the author' sessions, illustration
workshops, creative writing workshops and much, much more.
The CBF blog also has reports from events nationwide and will be updated every day.
Add to this a host of brilliant competitions where you can win loads of
cool prizes and you'll be spoilt for choice wherever you are!
