Would you like to become a friend of Children’s Books Ireland?  This new fundraising initiative has been launched to assist CBI in its goal to bring children and books together.

Over the past decade CBI has offered hundreds of thousands of young people the opportunity to engage with quality books. We have provided a resource for all those who bring children to books and we have supported the children’s books community all over Ireland including our hugely talented writers and illustrators.
Friends of CBI help us to achieve our three primary goals: engaging young people with books, resourcing the children’s books community and reminding everyone of the importance of books for young people.

By becoming a friend of CBI you will help us
•    Involve young people from all over Ireland in the Children’s Book Festival.
•    Reward excellence in books for young people by Irish writers and illustrators
•    Support the development of emerging and established writers and illustrators
•    Inform parents, teachers, librarians and booksellers about books for young people
•    Carry out research to inform policy and practice development

CBI friends enjoy many benefits while making a valuable contribution to our work. By joining with us, you become part of a larger body highlighting the importance of books for young people. Friends will receive regular updates and invitations from CBI including Inis Magazine and our annual recommended reading guide.

Since CBI was founded in 1996, we have helped hundreds of thousands of young people enjoy a positive experience with reading for pleasure. As a friend of CBI, we hope you will share in this success and celebrate the life changing power of books.
