We all know illustrators as the talented people who bring the characters to life in our favourite picturebooks, but what other things do they use their artistic skills to make?

This new exhibition, created especially for the Riverbank’s children’s space, will allow visitors to explore other elements of contemporary illustration practice – whether it be producing beautiful fair-trade rugs, designing funky packaging for food and drink, or developing digital apps that help you learn how to read! Featuring work by Steve Simpson (Lúlú agus an Oíche Ghlórach), Chris Haughton (A Bit Lost), Chris Judge (The Lonely Beast) and Trisha Deery (Miss Rosie Red).
